Local CWA activists will join officers on the union’s first national phone call of 2012, scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. tonight (Wednesday, Jan. 25). If you didn’t register to be connected by phone, go to www.cwa-union.org/cwacall to listen.
Local reports will include an up-to-the-minute update on the battle against so-called “right-to-work” legislation in Indiana. Also, a Brooklyn Cablevision worker will talk about the excitement on election eve, as he and his 280 coworkers get ready to vote Thursday morning on CWA representation. And a Verizon Wireless worker will discuss how he and colleagues in Bloomington, Ill., are continuing their fight for a union voice despite a narrow loss earlier this month.
