Newspaper Industry Film with Guild Members Re-Airs Sunday

"Black & White and Dead All Over," an in-depth look at the newspaper industry as it struggles financially, will re-air in Greater Philadelphia at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 6, on WHYY. The movie was filmed largely in Philadelphia and its interviews with journalists include Guild members. The movie is also headed overseas. Philadelphia Guild Executive Director Bill Ross says, "Black and White has been chosen by the State Department to participate in a program that will send this film to other countries as part of a cultural exchange program." High Court Strikes Down More Campaign Finance Limits

TNG-CWA President Bernie Lunzer and other CWA members were among activists rallying outside the Supreme Court at noon today, one of 140 protests that are springing up nationwide in response to this morning's ruling that strikes down yet another campaign finance limit. By a 5-4 vote in McCutcheon vs. FEC, the Court said an individual big giver could donate an unlimited amount of money, in total, to the party candidates and committees. "It's a battle between dollars and democracy," Lunzer said.
