Panelists: Media Consolidation Endangers Democracy

NewsGuild President Bernie Lunzer was among panelists at a Newseum forum on Thursday who warned that too much media consolidation endangers democracy by limiting the diversity of voices that provide news and entertainment content to Americans. Sen. Bernie Sanders closed the event, warning that action is needed immediately to stop the FCC from further eroding the rules that govern cross-ownership of newspapers and TV and radio stations.

Philly Members at ROC Ratify Strong First Contract
